Ways of Thanking You

How often do we ask people to do something for us? It may be to become a customer, or it may just be to take the next step in our sales funnel.

Many times the person will do what we ask without further prompting. Other times, we may need to offer them an "ethical bribe". That is something that will be of value to them, but in no way affects their integrity. As a way of thanking them to take the next step with you.

It may be a business report or eBook. It could be a CD or DVD of a seminar. Or it could be a small gift that they would value.

Something, coupled with their curiosity of the next step of your process, is thanking them for their time. After all, everyone is very busy, so you must respect their time. And thank them for giving you some time to listen to you.

Or you may offer a prize in a competition. For example, I am offering a prize of an mp3 player for the person who adds the best comment on any of the articles on the Australian Small Business Blog during March (2007). Just for adding great content to the blog. As a thank you for their time and effort.

So when someone does take the next step with you, make sure that you look for a way to thank them for their time.

All you need to do now is to Empower yourself and take action ...
